Asset Assessment
Located near Tane Mahuta in Waipoua Forest, the Waoku Bridge provides critical access for pest control operations in one of Aotearoa’s most iconic conservation areas. Frame Group was engaged to assess the condition and capacity of the aging road bridge to ensure it could safely support DOC vehicles transporting 1080 pest control supplies to a remote staging area.
The inspection was completed in accordance with the NZ Bridge Manual and in collaboration with DOC’s asset engineers. Frame Group’s work provided the confidence and documentation needed for Kaipara District Council to approve controlled use of the bridge, enabling timely and safe delivery of conservation efforts in the region.
