Extending from Gisborne’s Waikanae Beach to Midway Beach, the Oneroa Boardwalk Walkway has both a cultural and historical significance to the community.
Frame Group worked alongside Chow:Hill’s landscape architecture team to improve accessibility to the Waikanae beach and coastline.
Project features:
Installation of approximately 238m length x 3m wide concrete walkway
Installation of timber feature “knots” associated with the walkway
Installation of sand ladders
Installation of approximately 562m length x 3m wide timber boardwalk
Installation of a timber platforms with concrete wall
Installation of concrete areas with artistic features (Rangi & Papa)
