Frame Group delivered design and construction management services for this rural section of the Te Araroa Trail, connecting Hay Road to Webb Road near Helena Bay. The project was delivered in two stages, with initial works focused on Kauri Dieback Track Mitigation, followed by upgrades to improve access and durability across steeper terrain.
Key features included boardwalks, geoweb surfacing and viewing platforms that enhance the user experience while protecting the sensitive environment. By responding flexibly to evolving funding and access needs, Frame Group supported Northland Regional Council in delivering a safer and more resilient trail for walkers on one of Aotearoa’s most iconic long-distance routes.
