Let's talk about your project

Following significant damage to the popular walking tracks at Chatswood Reserve during Auckland’s severe 2023 weather events, Frame Group was engaged by Auckland Council to deliver a full end-to-end track upgrade. The primary driver was to mitigate the spread of the Kauri Dieback pathogen while also restoring safe access for local users.

Frame Group led the initial concept development, identifying new track alignments that avoided ecologically sensitive kauri root zones and unstable slopes. These were developed into detailed designs that incorporated kauri-safe infrastructure such as raised boardwalks, boxed steps, and slope-stabilising retaining walls.

Consent planning was managed by Frame Group, including the preparation of documentation to meet both ecological and geotechnical requirements. Once approved, Frame Group oversaw the construction phase, coordinating contractors and site logistics to minimise environmental impact and disruption.
