Frame Group was engaged by Kaipara District Council to prepare a detailed design for a beach access boardwalk at Baylys Beach, near Dargaville. 

Frame Group designed a new boardwalk to provide pedestrians with a safe walkway off the road to access the beach.  The new boardwalk also provides access to the existing toilet block and is wheelchair accessible over its entire length.  The challenging sand dune environment necessitated careful design consideration of foundations, and the effects of possible sand movement and storm surge.   

Congratulations to Robinson Asphalts who won the $100-$500K Construction Award project category at the Contractors Northland Awards 2021 for their work on the Baylys Beach Boardwalk.
