Frame Group supported Auckland Council with a staged track upgrade across Auckland Domain, one of the city’s most iconic urban parks. Following the heavy 2022–2023 rainy season, a number of the Domain’s tracks had been significantly damaged by water run-off, erosion and surface rutting.
Our work began with a comprehensive condition assessment across 18 separate track segments. We then developed detailed remediation plans tailored to each site, including regrading, resurfacing, removal of slip debris and the installation of new boardwalks where required.
The project balanced practical restoration with sensitive treatment of the Domain’s heritage and landscape values, ensuring high-use walking routes remain safe, accessible and resilient for the public.
