Let's talk about your project

Frame Group was engaged to support the upgrade of a popular walking track at Sapphire Springs, with a focus on protecting kauri trees through effective Kauri Dieback Track Mitigation. The project was delivered in partnership with Bay of Plenty Regional Council, and Western Bay of Plenty District Council, with funding support from Tiakina Kauri and local knowledge input from the nearby campground and hot pool operators.

Our scope included design, consenting and construction management for a new track alignment featuring boardwalks, platforms, steps and geoweb track containment with bark aggregate fill. These improvements replaced a previously muddy and degraded route with a resilient, environmentally sensitive solution that meets national Kauri Dieback Track Mitigation guidelines.

The completed track provides safe, durable access while supporting broader conservation goals and enhancing the visitor experience in this much-loved local reserve.
