Let's talk about your project

Frame Group was engaged to assess the structural integrity and load capacity of the historic Skippers Canyon Pipeline Suspension Bridge to support a specialist stunt for the US television series Who Dares Wins.

Suspended 91.4 metres above the Upper Shotover River, this heritage-listed bridge was constructed between 1898 and 1901 and is considered New Zealand’s highest suspension bridge. Frame Group’s cable structure experts provided critical engineering advice to confirm the bridge could safely accommodate a temporary “trainisium” structure used to suspend contestants for the filming.

The project combined technical rigour with heritage sensitivity in one of the country’s most iconic and remote locations.
