Let's talk about your project

Following severe flood damage that destroyed key infrastructure on the iconic Chasm Walk, Frame Group was engaged by DOC to lead a comprehensive feasibility study. The core challenge was to integrate complex geotechnical and hydrological hazard assessments into a set of practical, buildable options for a site that had repeatedly failed under extreme weather conditions.

Working with Riley Consultants, we evaluated a wide range of solutions, from strengthening existing structures to full bridge replacements and cantilevered platforms. Each option was assessed for hazard exposure, cost, constructability, accessibility and compliance with DOC’s short walk standards.

Frame Group delivered a detailed options matrix with capital cost estimates, level of service analysis and long-term asset life comparisons. Our work gave DOC a robust, evidence-based foundation to make strategic investment decisions and future proof visitor access to this high-profile location.
