Let's talk about your project

At the junction where the Routeburn Track climbs to Key Summit, Frame Group designed a new suite of boardwalks and rest area structures to support visitor movement, comfort and interpretation at this iconic viewpoint.

The design includes timber boardwalks, curved seating and sculptural forms that guide walkers to the summit lookout. A standout feature is the rest area, shaped to resemble a droplet of water falling onto the land, reflecting the site’s alpine ecology. Corten steel signage will carry DOC’s interpretation of Key Summit, creating a connection between the landscape and the story it tells.
