Let's talk about your project

Frame Group was engaged by the Department of Conservation to develop and deliver a Kauri Track Construction and Maintenance Training Programme across Auckland, Northland, Waikato and the Bay of Plenty. The programme was designed to build consistent understanding and capability across the sector in response to the ongoing risk of Kauri Dieback disease.

Frame Group provided advisory services, developing tailored workshop material and delivering training sessions to a wide audience ranging from senior managers to field-based practitioners. The programme covered the background and causes of Kauri Dieback, lessons learned from mitigation work to date, and practical guidance on kauri-safe track construction, maintenance and hygiene procedures.

All content was aligned with MPI guidelines, the National Pest Management Plan (NPMP) and national Kauri Dieback Track Mitigation (KDTM) principles. The training focused on translating policy and science into clear, practical procedures that could be applied consistently on the ground, supporting safer maintenance practices and improved protection of kauri forests across multiple regions.
