Let's talk about your project

Frame Group led the restoration of the Bell Bird Bridge in Central Park, an historic concrete arch supported bridge much loved by the community.

The project began with a routine asset inspection, where Frame Group identified structural and safety concerns. This led to a detailed structural and seismic assessment to evaluate the bridge’s condition and performance against modern standards.

Working with care to preserve the heritage value of the bridge, Frame Group developed a strengthening and repair solution that retained the original concrete arch substructure, while replacing the timber superstructure to replicate the look of the original, improving safety and extending the life of this historic asset. The team managed design, consenting and construction to deliver a restored structure that honours the past and meets today’s expectations.
