Matamata Piako District Council wanted to create a new walkway opportunity for both locals and visitors to enjoy native bush close to the town centre in Morrinsville. The new walkway can be accessed from Studholme Street, River View Road and Holmwood Park, and includes a suspension bridge across the Waitakaruru Stream.
Frame Group undertook the design work and engineering inspections of the new 37.5 m long x 1.2m wide suspension bridge together with approximately 22m of approach boardwalks. Frame Group was also part of the design work and inspections of the approximately 20m long retaining wall located next to the No 1 Bridge underpass on the Waiatoa Line.
