Tracks and Structures Workshops

Three one day workshops covering planning, design, consents, construction and maintenance of park structures and tracks.

Introduction

Following the successful series of workshops over the past two years, and the ongoing request for more workshops, we are pleased to be able to offer you another series this year.

Recent changes to the Building Code and the introduction of new timber grading rules will have a significant effect on the development of structures in public parks.

People involved in parks development need to be familiar with these changes to ensure compliance with the Building Act. Increasing visitor use on popular walking tracks is creating a demand for better quality design and construction so that environmental damage is minimized.
